Browser-based tool processing

The current GetKineticHub Tools utilities perform their core processing in your browser.

Files you select for browser-based tools, including images, are not intentionally uploaded to GetKineticHub servers for processing. Tool settings and generated results are handled locally in your browser unless a tool clearly states otherwise.

Closing or reloading a tool may discard its current local working state.

Technical server data

Like most websites, the hosting infrastructure may automatically process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include information such as your IP address, browser or user-agent information, requested URLs, timestamps, response status and security-related request data.

This information may appear in standard server logs and may be used for website delivery, security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting and technical maintenance.

Such information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for those operational purposes, subject to the hosting infrastructure and its security configuration.

Optional analytics

GetKineticHub Tools uses Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, as optional analytics. It helps GetKineticHub understand aggregate site and tool usage, such as which pages and tools are used, so the service can be improved.

Analytics is off unless you accept it. Until you choose “Accept analytics” in the analytics banner, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics request is sent. If you reject analytics, it stays off. Rejecting analytics does not affect access to any tool, and every tool works the same either way.

When analytics is on, Google Analytics may collect standard usage information, such as the pages viewed, the referring page, browser and device details, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. It also sets first-party cookies whose names start with _ga to recognise repeat visits.

Files you select, their names and contents, text you enter and generated results are not sent to Google Analytics. The site’s own tool events report only coarse product interactions: which tool was used, the kind of action completed (such as copy, download or import) and fixed option values such as an export format. Its navigation events report only the kind of link followed (a link from one tool to another, or to the KineticHub website), where on the page that link was and, for a link between tools, which tool it opens.

After you use a tool, a short feedback and support area may appear below it. Its events report only which tool it was shown with and one fixed interaction: whether you marked the tool useful or as needing work, whether the bookmark reminder was shown or dismissed, and whether the support link to PayPal was selected. Selecting that link does not tell GetKineticHub whether a payment was made, and no PayPal account or payment details are sent to the site’s analytics.

Google signals and ad personalisation signals are turned off in the site’s analytics configuration. Analytics is not used for advertising or behavioural advertising.

Information collected by Google Analytics is processed by Google and may be processed outside your country. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Email and contact

If you email GetKineticHub, the information you send — such as your email address, message and related email metadata — is processed so the enquiry can be read and answered.

Relevant correspondence may be retained where reasonably necessary for support, record-keeping, security or legal purposes.

GetKineticHub does not use a contact form on this website at launch.

Cookies and tracking

GetKineticHub Tools does not use advertising cookies, advertising trackers or behavioural profiling.

The only non-essential cookies are the optional Google Analytics cookies described above. They are set only after you accept analytics.

Your analytics choice is saved in your browser’s local storage, so the banner does not reappear on every page. The saved value records only whether you accepted or rejected analytics, and it stays in your browser.

Local storage also keeps, for each tool, your answer to “Was this tool useful?” and whether you dismissed the bookmark reminder, so they are not shown again. These saved values stay in your browser, whatever your analytics choice.

You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the site footer. If you switch analytics off, the site stops sending analytics events straight away and does not load Google Analytics on later pages. The site also removes its property-specific Google Analytics cookie. Other Google Analytics cookies may remain until they expire or you delete them in your browser settings.

Strictly necessary technical mechanisms may still be used by hosting or security infrastructure where required to provide or protect the service.

If advertising or other non-essential technologies are introduced in the future, this policy and the site’s consent handling will be reviewed before they are enabled.

Sharing of information

GetKineticHub does not sell personal information.

Technical or communication data may be processed by service providers that are necessary to operate the website or email service, such as hosting and email infrastructure. If you accept analytics, usage data is also processed by Google as the provider of Google Analytics. Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law or necessary to protect the service against abuse or security threats.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and the applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or data portability.

You may also have the right to complain to an applicable data-protection supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as GetKineticHub Tools changes, particularly if new services, analytics, accounts, server-side processing or other data-handling features are introduced.
